A note from your physician
I started Kindred because I wanted to practice medicine the way I think it should be practiced — where you know your doctor, you have time to ask your questions, and you can actually reach me when you need me.
Keeping the practice intentionally small is what makes that possible.
Welcome. I'm so glad you're here.
Chloe Kindred, MDFounder, Kindred Family Medicine
How it works
Think of Direct Primary Care as a subscription to your primary care.
You pay the practice directly through a simple monthly membership, instead of each visit being billed to insurance. That means my responsibility is to you — not to billing requirements, productivity targets, or rushed schedules.
Most patients keep their insurance or Medicare for the big things: hospital stays, specialists, imaging, surgery. Kindred handles the everyday care — and makes it a lot easier to get.
We accept HSA cards.
The difference
| Question | A traditional experience | Kindred Family Medicine |
|---|---|---|
| Will I see the same doctor? | Not always | Yes, every visit |
| How much time will I have? | Often 10–20 minutes | Typically 30–60+ minutes |
| How quickly can I be seen? | Days to weeks | Same-day or next-day appointments |
| Can I reach my doctor between visits? | Through office staff and a patient portal | Yes — directly, by phone or text |
| Where is your physician's focus? | Insurance and administrative demands | You. |
Membership
Monthly membership is priced by age. No copays, no surprise bills, no long-term contract — cancel anytime.
Every membership includes the same thing: unlimited visits, direct access to me, and your annual wellness exam. No tiers, no upsells.
One-time enrollment
$250 to join
$400 for couples joining together
Covers your records review and a 90-minute onboarding visit where we go through your whole story — health history, family history, goals, and lifestyle.
There's no long-term contract here. You can cancel anytime, and I like offering that freedom. The enrollment fee is what makes it work. Before your first visit, I request and read through your records from previous doctors and specialists (northern doctors included) and build a complete chart, so I already know you a little before we've even met.

Your physician
I'm a board-certified family physician, and my approach is pretty simple: evidence-based medicine with a real focus on prevention. So much of long-term health comes down to nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress, so we work on those together — and use medications and treatments when they're the right tool.
Since residency, I've practiced outpatient family medicine in a traditional insurance-based model, building long-term relationships with my patients.
Outside the office, life is wonderfully busy with my husband and our two young daughters. We love being outdoors, gardening, and cooking together. I also run, do yoga and Pilates, and sew when I can find a quiet afternoon.
You can also find me on Instagram at @chloekindredmd, where I talk about preventive health, nutrition, direct primary care, and how the healthcare system really works — along with a little real life as a doctor and mom.

Think of it as a subscription to your primary care. You pay the practice directly through a simple monthly membership instead of having each office visit billed to an insurance company — so my responsibility is to my patients, not to insurance billing requirements, productivity targets, or rushed appointment schedules.
Yes. I've opted out of Medicare, which means Medicare doesn't pay for my services — your membership covers those. But your Medicare still works for everything else: labs, imaging, specialist referrals, and hospital care. When I order a test or refer you to a specialist, you use your Medicare just like you do now. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, ask me on your call — some plans have their own referral rules.
Membership is priced by age: $100/month for ages 18–44, $130/month for ages 45–64, and $150/month for ages 65 and older. There's a one-time enrollment fee of $250, or $400 for a couple joining together, that covers a 90-minute onboarding visit. No copays, no surprise bills.
Unlimited office visits, annual wellness exams, preventive care, acute illness visits, chronic disease management, same-day and next-day appointments, and direct access to your physician by phone or text.
Most patients still carry commercial health insurance or Medicare for hospitalizations, specialist care, imaging, surgeries, and other major medical expenses. Your Kindred membership complements that coverage by making your day-to-day primary care more personal, more accessible, and easier to navigate.
Yes — we accept HSA cards.
No. There's no long-term contract, and you can cancel your membership at any time.
Before you ever walk through my door, I request and read through your records from previous physicians and specialists — including northern doctors for my snowbird patients — and build a complete, accurate chart. The fee reflects that work and your 90-minute onboarding visit.
Absolutely. Many adult children help their parents get set up. Fill out the form with your parent's information, and you're welcome to join the 15-minute call together.
